Pittsburgh: A Tradition of Innovation is an exciting new permanent exhibit at the Heinz History Center that was a key element of the Pittsburgh 250 Celebration, a regional event celebrating Pittsburgh's 250th anniversary in 2008. Read More

Buhl grants in excess of: $1,500,000
An architectural gem on Pittsburgh's North Side, the Children's Museum is the first LEED certified “green” Children's Museum constructed in the country. The Children's Museum houses a variety of fun and educational children and family activities that draw nearly 200,000 visitors a year. Read More

Buhl grant: $3,000,000 over 10 years
The Pittsburgh Promise is a major undertaking by Pittsburgh Public Schools, the City of Pittsburgh, UPMC, the foundation community and a host of other supporters to raise $250 million to provide $40,000 scholarships for each graduate of Pittsburgh Public Schools who achieves at least a 2.5 grade point average.
