Buhl grants: In excess of $9,000,000 since 1939
In 1939, the Foundation built and opened the Buhl Planetarium and Institute of Popular Science on Pittsburgh's North Side. That Buhl legacy now continues inside the Carnegie Science Center with the Buhl Digital Dome, a high-definition projection system that combines science, entertainment and technology. Read More

An architectural gem on Pittsburgh's North Side, the Children's Museum is the first LEED certified “green” Children's Museum constructed in the country. The Children's Museum houses a variety of fun and educational children and family activities that draw nearly 200,000 visitors a year. Read More
