Children's Festival Chorus
The mission of Children’s Festival Chorus (CFC) is “Whole Child…Whole Community.” Created within that mission is an Educator’s Workshop. The Educators Workshop is a creative way to help many school districts use the excellent curriculum and solid choral pedagogies of CFC that were once only available to a small number of children. This grant from the McCreery Fund will help to support the 2011 Educators Workshop for area elementary and middle school music teachers entitled “Swing into Spring with Mr. Rogers.” This programming will bring music expertise to enhance singing enjoyment in schools experiencing decreasing support for the arts.
